We appraise jewelry, diamonds, gemstones, sterling flatware and watches, and if a piece hasn't been appraised in the past five years, we recommend having it documented in detail. Most appraisals are for insurance, in case of loss, damage or theft, but they're also used for estate tax evaluation, value comparison, casualty loss, dissolution of marriage, collateral and barter.
Lab reports and insurance replacement
If a diamond or gemstone needs an independent opinion, we help you choose the correct lab, make sure it gets there and back safely, and explain the terminology once the report comes back. If you ever need to file a claim, we handle insurance replacement assistance too, identifying jewelry of equal kind, quality and value as the original, and we bill all insurance companies.
